The I-96 Speedway would like to make two announcements regarding the UMP Late Model Division for the 2010 season.
The official minimum weight rule for UMP Late Models at I-96 Speedway will be 2300 pounds for all open engine cars. All cars running the 525 or 604 engine package will be allowed to run at 2200 pounds which is the UMP rule for crate engine powered cars.
After much discussion with UMP officials, the decision of UMP is to allow the eight inch spoiler only at this time on all 525 powered Late Models. UMP will observe the first several nights of racing action at I-96 Speedway to see if any adjustments are then necessary.
The official announcement of the approved compounds of Hoosier Tires that can be used at I-96 Speedway will be announced in the next few weeks.
